Now is the time to setup your online Summer Camp Staff Training on the Adventist Learning Community for the following Courses. To set up your camps follow these simple steps.
- Enroll in the courses you intend to use and take the courses so you are familiar with the content.
- Contact Tracy Wood and specify which courses you have completed and want to use this spring for your staff training prior to Staff Week.
- When the courses are setup for your specific camp then Tracy will show you how to:
- Invite your staff to take the course
- Track the progress of each of your staff who are enrolled
- Confirm completion of the courses.
- Review your staff members’ portfolios to confirm that learning has been accomplished.
NAD Camp Safety Training
Course Summary
The purpose of this self-study course is to equip camp staff with tools and guidelines from the North American Division Code of Conduct to work and interact with minors, their parents, and other camp staff. This course is divided into seven learning modules with learning activities and a quiz for each module.
NAD Camp Cabin Counselor Training – Course 1

Camp Cabin Counselor Training is designed to help new and experienced counselors develop the skills necessary to effectively lead and support a cabin of campers. This course covers the basics of cabin counseling, with an emphasis on creating a welcoming and supportive environment to ensure that campers of all ages have a fun, safe, and enjoyable week at camp.
NAD Camp Cabin Counselor Training – Course 2
Course Summary
Cabin Counselor Training Course 2 is designed to expand upon the foundation you built in Course 1, equipping you with advanced skills for handling the diverse and complex situations that can arise in a camp cabin. This course empowers you to maintain composure and confidence when circumstances become challenging, whether it’s navigating sensitive gender-specific topics, addressing the unique dynamics of working with older teen campers, or supporting campers with a range of physical, emotional, or developmental needs.
Blind Camp Training
Course Summary
The Blind Camp Training Series offers youth camp staff and directors an overview of the blind and low-vision community, distinctions and best practices regarding blind camp, safety considerations, partnership and support opportunities, and a look into why this ministry is beneficial for children and adults who are blind or have low vision. Learn how blind camp ministry can be operated in the words of recent attendees and selected partner camp directors and staff.
